11 units have been added to the NT Academy course, Success with Study Skills. These short modules include information on how to prepare for lectures, an introduction to learning styles and techniques to practise different note making strategies.

Success with Study Skills, aimed at supporting undergraduates throughout the duration of their studies, explores a number of note writing techniques and study skills. Students can also identify and implement effective study strategies suited to their learning style.

The e-Learning course is available to all students in receipt of Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA) who receive Notetalker as part of their DSA funding from Student Finance England.

The course is designed to complement the work of Study Skills tutors, by providing a tool for students to explore a number of strategies in their own time. It can be completed around a student’s existing commitments and reviewed as often as needed to reinforce learning.

Further units will be released next year to take students through all stages of their studies, including planning to write an essay, report and dissertation, as well as preparing for job applications and job interviews.

The course is also available to students who would like to develop their study skills, but aren't in receipt of DSA funding for Notetalker. Visit ntacademy.co for further information.

The course is essential CPD for professionals working in student support.
