Q. How do I install the App on my device?
A. Go to Google Playstore, Apple App store or Amazon App store to download the App. You can have a free 30 day trial of the App to see if you like it. You can then pay an annual subscription which can be paid for directly on your smartphone or tablet. If you have purchased the App from a Conversor distributor or it has been provided as part of the DSA funding scheme, then you will be sent an email with a Redemption Code which will need to be entered into the device when you first install the App. You will have a choice of subscribing or entering a Redemption Code, enter the Redemption Code and the App will become active.
Q. I have been given an Apple Redemption Code- how do I Redeem it?
A. Go to Apple App Store. Click on Featured in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the Featured screen. Click on the Redeem Box. Enter your Apple ID when requested and then copy and paste your code into the Redeem Code Box. DO NOT purchase the App on the App Store as the Redemption Code has already been paid for.

Q. My Android phone will not allow me to upload Notetalker. What can I do?
A. Android phones which run software version 4.3 or later should work fine. Occasionally we find there is a problem installing from Google Playstore. There are a number of work-arounds. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we can provide you with some assistance.
Q. How do I know what all the buttons do?
A. When you first use the App there will be an explanation of what each button does as you start to use the App. Most of the buttons follow the standard recording conventions of a voice recorder and will be familiar to you.
Q. How many Bookmark tags can I make in a single recording?
A. The number is unlimited.
Q. Do I have to name each Bookmark I make?
A. No, the App automatically assigns a numerical sequence to the Bookmark from Bookmark_1 upwards. If you wish to enter your own text just press backspace to delete Bookmark_1 and enter your own text, then Save.
Q. Can I rename an audio file or folder?
A. Yes you can re-name your audio file before recording or after recording, move it from one folder to another, create a new folder and rename any folder. The Folders and files can be renamed, moved and stored just as you do on your PC.
Q. How many hours recording can I get on the smartphone or tablet?
A. It depends on how much other Data you have on your device and the quality of the sound recording you use and the file format. Most new smartphones have memories of 64Gb to 128Gb so there is plenty of room for your Apps, operating software and photographs. Typically WAV files are ten times bigger than MP4 formatted files. So a typical user can expect up to 100 hours of MP4 usage available, and 40-60 hours of WAV file storage in 10Gb of memory storage. It is important to clear down unwanted recordings as soon as you have uploaded them to your PC for subsequent editing and storage.
Q. Can I record using the smartphone or tablet’s own microphone?
A. Yes you can but remember the on-board microphone is an omni-directional microphone which picks up sound from all around the device. This is fine for small discussion groups or meetings but not so good in a lecture hall or conference room where you need a directional microphone to pick up the speaker’s voice.
Q. Can I use a wireless microphone with the smartphone or tablet?
A. Yes you can use a Conversor Pro wireless microphone and receiver to transmit the sound of the speaker from the front of a room to where the device is located. Contact Conversor or email at email@example.com

Q. How do I plug a microphone into my laptop?
A. If the laptop has two 3.5mm jack plug sockets, one for headphone and one for microphone, you can plug the Conversor MM1 microphone into the microphone socket. If the laptop only has one socket you need to do a trial and error process to see if the microphone will work on its own. Some laptops can sense when a microphone is inserted and will activate the microphone function, others need the adapter cable CON01ADP to connect the microphone to the laptop, and others will not allow the connection of a standard mono or stereo plug microphone. Where you cannot use the standard jack socket the alternative is to use a USB media card with headset and microphone connections. CON01USB USB Media card can be used with any laptop or PC to connect a microphone and headset where the single socket does not accept a microphone-click here to see this product.
